THE EDGE FESTIVAL 2009
After launching last year – taking over from where T on the Fringe had left, this year’s Edge Festival features an even greater diversity of acts than ever playing across various venues throughout Edinburgh. Full details here.

CATAPULT @ MAGGIE MAYS
Launched back in May, Catapult is a monthly club night showcase for unsigned bands held on the first Thursday of every month at Maggie Mays in Glasgow. We designed the logo along with the postcards, flyers and posters for each night.


KESTRAL EX

A pleasant change from all the economic doom & gloom was recently producing this logo for a newly formed company which will be based in Aberdeen. Kestral EX will be manufacturing and supplying explosion proof control panel enclosures for the oil, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
SHOWCASING SCOTLAND SxSW 2009

Baseline has just completed it’s fourth year of designing the marketing materials for the Scottish Arts Council’s Showcasing Scotland events held at the SxSW music festival over in Austin, Texas.

It’s been great to hear some good feedback already on the work we’ve done for this year – especially as there’s been not just the one, but TWO different showcase gigs to design materials for… due to their being so many bands going across this year.
We’re also producing ltd. edition screen prints for the two Showcasing gigs which will be on sale during the festival.
THE STIRLING ARCADE
The Stirling Arcade has long been an important landmark within Stirling, and – with it undergoing an extensive renovation and refurbishment programme – Baseline were delighted to get involved in pitching ideas for an effective branding for this historic arcade.
With a branding now developed which reflects a unique shopping environment where traditional values meet contemporary style, our work is now being applied across signage, advertising and the recently launched, Baseline-designed website. Find out more – visit the site here.

THE RAY SUMMERS

After our recent screen prints done for The Ray Summers three club nights at McChuills in Glasgow, our design efforts resulted in the type work used on the poster being adopted as the band’s logo. More details on The Ray Summers and our prints here.
GNBS MARKETING MATERIAL 2009



Get Nailed and Body Sanctuary came back to us to redesign their marketing material and move it on from their previous campaign whilst retaining the same feel and image.
We made some subtle colour changes to the overall identity to soften it, then applied it to a more uniform suite of instore material, including appointment cards, aftercare cards, a retail price list and the main salon & treatment brochure, as well as to several instore A2 posters and luxury paper carrier bags.
We also reworked their gift vouchers to help bring them closely in line with the overhauled identity.
Across the entire range where appropriate, we used touches of spot varnish to accentuate highlights and create background patternwork.
